Description

Ceramic fiber cloth is a premium-grade thermal insulation fabric made from high-purity alumino-silicate ceramic fibres reinforced with either fibreglass or stainless steel wire for added strength and flexibility. This specific variant — 3mm thick and supplied in rolls measuring 30 meters in length and 1 meter in width — is designed to provide reliable high-temperature resistance without foil-scrim-kraft (Non-FSK) backing, making it ideal for a wide range of industrial, commercial, and construction insulation applications.

Ceramic Fiber Cloth Exceptional Thermal Performance

The 3mm ceramic fiber cloth is engineered to withstand continuous temperatures of up to 1260°C (2300°F), offering excellent protection against radiant heat, sparks, molten splash, and hot gas exposure. It retains its strength and insulating properties even under extreme heat, making it suitable for furnace linings, kiln insulation, expansion joints, and pipe wrapping.

Durable and Flexible

Despite its thermal robustness, ceramic fiber cloth remains lightweight, flexible, and easy to cut or sew into custom shapes and covers. The 3mm thickness provides an optimal balance between protection and workability, making it suitable for use as thermal wraps, fire curtains, welding blankets, or removable insulation pads.
This non-FSK version is available without a foil or scrim layer, which enhances breathability and flexibility while minimising weight. It is an ideal choice in environments where moisture is not a concern and high thermal integrity is the primary concern. Applications of 3mm Ceramic Fibre Cloth

Ceramic fibre cloth has widespread use across many sectors

  • Industrial Insulation: Wraps for steam and hot water pipes, ducts, and industrial machinery
  • Furnace and Kiln Doors: Used as thermal seals and curtains
  • Welding and Fire Protection: Shields surfaces and personnel from sparks and molten slag
  • Power Plants and Refineries: Insulation for turbines, exhausts, and heat exchangers
  • Automotive and Marine: Exhaust insulation and heat shields

Key Features and Benefits

  • High Heat Resistance: Withstands continuous exposure up to 1260°C
  • Low Thermal Conductivity: Exceptional insulation value, reducing energy loss
  • Chemical Stability: Resistant to most chemicals except for hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and strong alkalis
  • Lightweight and Flexible: Easy to install, cut, fold, or stitch
  • Non-FSK Backing: Enhanced flexibility and cost-efficiency for environments not requiring vapour barriers
  • Environmentally Safe: Asbestos-free and safe for thermal applications
